CORKBAR RINGS IN 2011 WITH A SPECIAL NEW YEAR’S EVE FOUR-COURSE, PRIX FIXE DINNER, ALONGSIDE BEER, WINE, AND BUBBLY FLIGHTS

Downtown Los Angeles’ all-California wine bar will mark the last evening of the year with two dinner seatings, offering Angelenos holiday-inspired dishes from Executive Chef Albert Aviles, plus optional flight pairings

WHAT:
On Friday, December 31, 2010, Corkbar, known for its California-centric wine list and farmers’ market-inspired cuisine, hosts holiday revelers for a New Year’s Eve four-course, prix fixe dinner. For $55 per person, guests can choose from two seatings (6:30 and 9:30 p.m.) and enjoy festive dishes created by Executive Chef Albert Aviles, with items such as Seared Foie Gras with Micro Greens and Raisin-Brandy Compote on Brioche, topped with a Balsamic Reduction; Coriander-Crusted Tuna with Braised White Beans, Spinach, and Celery topped with Grain Mustard Aioli and Piquillo Pepper Oil; and Chocolate Cake with Black Pepper Whipped Cream, Pine Nuts, Graham Crackers, and Cherry Reduction.

The wine bar will also offer optional flight pairings for each course. Imbibers can select a specially crafted beer flight, featuring some of Corkbar’s standout microbrews ($10); a California wine flight ($18); or—in the spirit of the holiday—a sparkling wine flight ($25). Corkbar’s full wine and beer list will also be available.
